Meet Wrap Ups

Futures Wrap Up The Futures Championships was held August 3 - 6 in Santa Clara, Ca. The meet is a high caliber, national meet, yet has a really chill vibe to it! :) It was a HUGE success, and our two swimmers represented the Piranhas with great pride! Hannah Hudson had a fantastic meet, winning her heats and dropping time! Her attitude was fantastic, and she competed like the warrior she is! The cool thing about Hannah is that she turns on a switch when she gets up on the blocks and she's only about putting her hand on the wall first! Maddy Grimes swam in her final meet as a high school Piranha athlete, and I was incredibly proud of her! She has always been such an incredible competitor and leader for our program, and her last meet was yet another shining example of why Maddy is special, as both an athlete and a person. GREAT JOB GIRLS!! -- Coach Mike Western Senior Zones Wrap Up What super, super FAST swims we had! It was hot and pretty humid (compared to our climate in Sparks), our swimmers performed absolutely awesome! I was so proud of them, also our parents were so positive, upbeat, and supportive to everyone! Thanks for all your hard work! -- Coach Atsuko High Country Wrap Up Winners don't wait for chances. They take them,and I believe we showed a great deal of this at the High Country meet. To our swimmers, every race was another opportunity to step up and represent what the Piranhas were about.
